Romania has obtained the 22nd positive opinion within the OECD Public Governance Committee, an important step in the process of joining the organization. The President of the Senate, Mircea Abrudean, emphasized the complexity of the evaluation, mentioning the institutional efforts over the past three years to improve the architecture of public governance.

Luca Niculescu, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, highlighted essential reforms, such as the Law on the Unique Register of Transparency of Interests and the mechanism for preventing conflicts of interest, which have significantly contributed to the transparency of public decisions.

The collaboration involved several ministries, including Justice and Finance, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs facilitated the dialogue with the OECD and member states. These advances reflect Romania's commitment to international governance standards.
