In a Facebook post, former minister Rogobete criticized the authorities for the unfair way in which positions in hospitals were allocated. He pointed out that the Bihor County Emergency Clinical Hospital received 131 positions, in contrast to hospitals in university centers such as Bacau (77 positions), Brașov (65 positions), Cluj (51 positions), and Constanța (65 positions).
"EVERYTHING HAS A LIMIT!
You must explain to the Romanians based on what criteria the "unblocked" positions were allocated through the Memorandum:
Bihor (551,000 inhabitants) – Bihor County Emergency Clinical Hospital – 131 positions.
At the same time:
Bacau (601,000 inhabitants) – Bacau County Emergency Hospital – 77 positions.
Brașov (546,000 inhabitants) – Brașov County Emergency Clinical Hospital – 65 positions.
Cluj (679,000 inhabitants) – Cluj County Emergency Clinical Hospital, one of the most important university centers and centers of medical excellence in Romania – 51 positions.
Constanța (655,000 inhabitants) – "St. Apostle Andrew" County Emergency Clinical Hospital, where just a few months ago neurosurgery shifts could not be covered – 65 positions.
And the national institutes, which treat patients from all counties of Romania, receive:
National Institute of Infectious Diseases "Prof. Dr. Matei Balș" – the largest and only national institute of infectious diseases – 15 positions.
Bucharest Oncology Institute – one of the largest oncology centers in the country, which treats patients from all over Romania – 22 positions.
Emergency Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases "Prof. Dr. C.C. Iliescu" – the largest specialized institute in Romania, which treats patients from all counties – 24 positions.
Fundeni Clinical Institute – one of the most important national centers for transplants and complex pathologies – 86 positions.
"Grigore Alexandrescu" Emergency Clinical Hospital for Children – the only hospital in Romania that treats children with severe burns – 24 positions.
I am not saying that Bihor does not need doctors. It does. Just like all counties and all major hospitals in Romania.
Health is not just a chapter in the budget. It is part of the state's response capacity in crisis situations. When you weaken strategic hospitals, you must be able to explain very clearly why you did it.
Stop! You are destroying the health system!" wrote Alexandru Rogobete on Facebook on Tuesday evening.
