The Republic of Moldova is planning to implement the Return Guarantee System (RGS) for packaging, taking inspiration from Romania.

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Grigore Stratulat, announced plans to implement the RMS in the Republic of Moldova in the form of a 'deposit system'. He emphasized the importance of such a functional system, which can change mentality, culture and social attitudes. The implementation of the RMS would be carried out by producers, importers and traders in the form of a public association.
