Sorin Grindeanu, the interim president of the PSD, requests a rapid adjustment of package 1 of the fiscal-budgetary measures, regarding the elimination of the health contribution (CASS) for war veterans, former political detainees, and monks.

The PSD leader emphasized that, since the number of beneficiaries is low and the budgetary impact is insignificant, these corrections should be adopted quickly to avoid affecting the Government's image. At the same time, Grindeanu highlighted the importance of supporting mothers through additional tax facilities, such as exemptions or increasing allowances by approximately 3,000–4,000 lei, as part of an effort to stimulate demographic policies. However, the final adoption of the package of measures depends on clarifying the situation regarding the motion of censure, and the proposed amendments could be included in a revised version, which is expected to be adopted by the end of next week.
