Sorin Grindeanu's party and that of Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan sent a message online on Wednesday, April 29, in which each attacks the rival, just a few days before the PSD-AUR censure motion.
The first to post were those from PSD: "We call on responsible leaders to understand that supporting Bolojan until the white flags, at the head of a non-functional government, means destroying any chance of pulling the economy out of recession, with a dramatic effect on the lives of Romanians!"
The fact that Ilie Bolojan clings to any position – contrary to what he publicly expressed, repeatedly, last year – only represents an aggravation of the country's economic situation. A concrete example is the fact that he is currently blocking, without logic, the application of the economic recovery measures proposed by PSD and accepted by the governing Coalition.
Perhaps in this way Ilie Bolojan understands that, in any democratic state in the world, a prime minister who has lost political support chooses the only honorable gesture: resignation. It is the only way in which Ilie Bolojan can demonstrate that there is indeed coherence between his words and actions, not just populism, double standards, and hypocrisy – as he has unfortunately shown until now." wrote the social democrats on Facebook.
After a few minutes, the response from PNL followed: "The PSD-AUR motion 'Turning Off the Light' is the desire of PSD leadership, not the will of Romanians.
Romanians do not want to return to a system of privileges and political clientelism. They want real reforms, clean institutions, and a government that works for them – not for party barons.
PSD has chosen to thicken its skin and defend a system that Romanians have already sanctioned at the polls.
Do you want to know exactly what Romanians want? Unblock them on social networks. Sorin Grindeanu, Olguța Vasilescu, Claudiu Manda let them write in comments what they want. Listen to them – if you still have the courage to do so." the liberals also conveyed on Facebook.
