Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan clarified the accusations regarding his illegal stay in the former protocol villa of Traian Băsescu, explaining that he was moved there for security reasons. He mentioned that he later found out that the residence was associated with the former president, but emphasized that he did not spend unjustified money and that he followed legal procedures.
Bolojan stated that if Băsescu had wanted to return to that residence, he would have moved elsewhere, but the former president chose a different location. The Prime Minister insisted that he has the right to a service residence and that his activities mainly take place in the Government.
