PNL has launched a call to all political parties to support the new Salary Law, emphasizing its importance in the difficult economic context of Romania.
In a statement, the liberals highlighted that the country is facing measures to reduce the budget deficit and the effects of the energy crisis, which makes accessing European funds essential. The Salary Law not only aims to correct inequalities in public administration but is also a condition for obtaining 770 million euros from the PNRR.
PNL has called for responsibility from the parties, emphasizing that the stakes go beyond immediate political interests. President Nicușor Dan has summoned the leaders of PNL, PSD, USR, and UDMR for negotiations to reach a consensus, and the social democrats have proposed conditions related to salary increases in education and health. The meeting will take place at the Cotroceni Palace, and the adoption of the law is crucial for the economic future of Romania.
