The ultimatum given by the PNL leadership to the five members - Adrian Veştea, Lucian Bode, Rareş Bogdan, Hubert Thuma, and Alina Gorghiu - expired on Monday at 12:00 PM, and they are set to be excluded from the party, according to the two resolutions adopted by the Extraordinary Congress of PNL on Sunday.
We remind that the liberals led by Ilie Bolojan adopted two resolutions, one stipulating that the participation of members in forming a government with PSD will lead to their exclusion, and the other requesting the resignation of the five.
The Congress noted that they have violated the obligation to defend the party's decisions by participating in actions contrary to the interests of PNL.
Lucian Bode stated that he will not resign, claiming that excluding critical voices will not lead to the reform of the party. Alina Gorghiu contested the decisions, considering them abusive and deepening the rift within the party. She could hold a position as deputy prime minister in the Veştea government.
