PNL Deputy Ionel Bogdan stated that the attack on an ambulance crew in Cluj was fueled by false information distributed on TikTok. In a Facebook post, he emphasized that disinformation can provoke violence and affect people's safety.

Bogdan will request a hearing with the president of ANCOM, Valeriu Zgonea, to discuss measures to prevent disinformation on digital platforms. He also reiterated the need to establish a Special Parliamentary Committee for Combating Disinformation, previously proposed in Parliament.

Bogdan warned that the effects of disinformation can exceed the online environment, affecting public institutions and national security, according to the new National Defense Strategy.

He emphasized that actions against disinformation must be swift to prevent irreversible effects.
