Interim Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu stated that the cyberattacks that have affected the state's public services in recent days are unacceptable. Initial checks suggest deficiencies in compliance with cybersecurity procedures.

"Initial checks indicate possible deficiencies in compliance with procedures and obligations regarding cybersecurity," Oana Gheorghiu stated in a message on Facebook.

Gheorghiu emphasized that the current priority is the safe re-operation of the affected services, with the help of experts who are verifying data integrity and eliminating vulnerabilities. She highlighted a deeper issue related to the lack of coordination among state institutions in implementing effective and secure digital solutions. The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that cybersecurity must be a shared responsibility of all institutions and that it is essential to establish unified standards, real audits, and continuity plans to restore citizens' trust in the state.
