Sources: Oana Gheorghiu and Dragoș Pîslaru join PNL before the liberal congress on Sunday

Oana Gheorghiu and Dragoș Pîslaru have submitted their applications for membership in the PNL Sector 6 Bucharest organization, according to political sources. They will be part of the team supporting the motion with which Ilie Bolojan will run for a new term at the helm of the National Liberal Party, during the congress scheduled for Sunday.

The move comes a day before the PNL congress, where the liberals will elect the leadership structure and set the political direction of the party. On Saturday, the liberals will hold a technical meeting before the Extraordinary Congress on Sunday, where the Statute of the formation will also be amended.

Until 5:00 PM, candidacy motions can be submitted, and Ilie Bolojan has announced that he will run for the party leadership. Adrian Veștea, who expressed his intention to run, will no longer participate. Bolojan will run alongside only one first vice-president, Ciprian Ciucu being a possible candidate, despite recent corruption allegations.
