Nicușor Dan plans to re-involve intelligence services in the fight against tax evasion, given the deficit problems. The previous collaboration between the SRI and ANAF, which started in 2012, was halted in 2017 under the Grindeanu government, despite ANAF's improved performance. Criticism from the PSD has marked this involvement, but Dan believes that a review of the national strategy is needed to effectively tackle the large-scale tax evasion.
