President Nicușor Dan stated that the war in Ukraine will end when Russia is economically forced to give up its aggression.

In an interview granted to the show '40 Questions with Denise Rifai', President Nicușor Dan discussed the conditions under which the war in Ukraine could end. He emphasized that Russia's actions are not surgical, severely affecting civilians and having a significant cost. Nicușor Dan highlighted the importance of ending the conflict in favor of Ukraine, to deter future aggressions. Regarding the duration of the war, he stated that it will end when Russia can no longer financially support its continuation, mentioning that, in the absence of internal economic pressure, Russia will continue to refuse peace and avoid negotiations.
