Before the European Union Summit – Western Balkans, President Nicușor Dan was asked about a backup plan in case Eugen Tomac fails to obtain a parliamentary majority. Nicușor Dan avoided commenting, stating that it is the Government's responsibility to proceed and that there is no alternative. He emphasized that the success of the negotiations depends on the discussions Tomac will have with the political formations, mentioning that "there are no guarantees based on assumptions."
The President specified that the designated Prime Minister must negotiate both the composition of the future Cabinet and the government program.
"I do not want to talk about this now. I believe it is a matter of responsibility for this Government to proceed, there is no alternative," said Nicușor Dan on Digi24.
