President Nicușor Dan commented on Friday about the return to the country of the mercenary Horațiu Potra, associated with former presidential candidate Călin Georgescu, emphasizing the importance of the rapidity of this action. He congratulated the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Internal Affairs for their demonstrated efficiency. Dan confirmed that he received information about the events that took place after the cancellation of the 2024 presidential elections, including details about Potra's activities in Romania.

The president insisted that the information must be communicated to the public in a coordinated manner by state institutions, to avoid confusion. Potra, along with his son and grandson, were presented on Friday to the judges of the Bucharest Court of Appeal, who will decide on the arrest warrants. Dan reaffirmed the Romanian state's commitment to protect constitutional order.
