In an interview with the newspaper Cotidianul, President Nicușor Dan stated that he is ready to nominate Sorin Grindeanu, the leader of PSD, as prime minister within the governmental rotation in the spring of 2027. Although he acknowledges that many of his voters contest PSD, he emphasizes that Romania's political stability depends on collaboration with this party.
Nicușor Dan mentioned that if PSD decides to propose Grindeanu, he will have no objections. He expressed his desire for the current government to last until the rotation in 2027, although there will be an evaluation of the ministers in the coalition. He also mentioned that, in the case of a second mandate, he does not rule out the possibility of nominating Ilie Bolojan again as prime minister.
