Nicușor Dan meets with the leaders of the former governing coalition to make a decision regarding the future prime minister: Siegfried Mureșan versus Sorin Grindeanu

The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, called on Friday at the Cotroceni Palace the leaders of the former governing coalition to find a solution to exit the crisis, considering the different prime minister proposals from the right-wing parties compared to that of the PSD.

Thus, starting at 6:00 PM, the leaders of PSD, PNL, USR, UDMR, and the National Minorities group are expected.

We remind you that PNL, USR, and UDMR proposed on Friday morning the MEP Siegfried Mureșan for the position of prime minister; however, this proposal faces opposition from PSD, which has already announced that it assumes governance and has announced its support for Sorin Grindeanu to lead a future government.

Today, in fact, the ultimatum given by the President of Romania to the parliamentary parties to come up with a prime minister proposal expires.
