President Nicușor Dan has decided to form a working group to prepare for his visit to the USA, having himself as the active leader. The presidential advisor for national security, Marius Lazurca, emphasized the importance of the political and economic dimensions within this visit, with a particular focus on the military sector and frontier technologies. Lazurca mentioned that the president wants a substantive visit that brings benefits to Romanian citizens, not just ceremonial protocols. Additionally, there are plans to include a delegation of business people during the visit. The interest in Romanian communities abroad is also a priority for the president. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Țoiu, confirmed discussions with American officials about the meeting between the US president and Nicușor Dan, with the visit planned for the first part of 2026.
