Nicușor Dan is dissatisfied with the lack of collaboration between state institutions: "often the information you receive from different areas is different or varies from one month to another and it's not normal"

President Nicușor Dan expressed, at the Digital Governance Summit 2025, his dissatisfaction with the contradictory information received from various sources, emphasizing that the lack of effective collaboration between institutions affects the decision-making process. He highlighted that the Romanian state does not have automatic mechanisms for detecting disinformation campaigns, which hinders interaction with citizens and the business environment.

Nicușor Dan stated that, although Romania is well prepared in the field of cybersecurity, it needs to improve the way state institutions communicate in order to regain citizens' trust. He emphasized the importance of rapid detection of disinformation and the coordination of institutional messages to have a real impact on the population.
