Mircea Abrudean, the president of the Senate, stated that there are no reasons for the parliamentarians in the governing coalition to vote for a motion of censure, emphasizing the importance of political stability for Romania. He mentioned that, despite the varied results of the local elections, the coalition remains stable and effective. Regarding the PSD's dissatisfaction with salary cuts in the administration, Abrudean specified that discussions are forthcoming in the Government and that decisions cannot be made unilaterally by the prime minister. He also highlighted the difficulty of the Government functioning without the PSD and reiterated that a strong coalition is essential for Romania's recovery. Abrudean concluded that political instability is not in the country's interest.
