Several MEPs will be working online to cover the election campaign, with the budget-finance and information and communication technology committees holding their meetings in hybrid format.

The decision comes in the run-up to the June 9 local and European parliamentary elections. The interim president of the Chamber of Deputies, Alfred Simonis, emphasized that working online does not mean not working and that the parliamentary allowance is not calculated according to the time spent in the bank.
