Marcel Ciolacu, former prime minister and leader of the PSD, expressed concerns about the viability of the current governmental coalition, emphasizing that it cannot be based solely on the wishes of the prime minister. He insisted on the necessity for PSD, PNL, USR, and UDMR to come to the table to find coherence in communication.

Ciolacu highlighted the importance of politicians' responsibility in the current economic context, mentioning that Romania could enter a recession, which would complicate the situation for both the political class and the economy. In the end, he raised questions about the adherence to the coalition protocol, stating: "Let’s get to that point!"

"I believe it is time for us to sit at the table, both PSD, and PNL, and USR, and UDMR. And somehow coherence must be found in communication. The truths must be told, we should no longer try to shift the blame from one to another and stop sweeping all the dirt under the rug and all the attacks, because this coalition will not work if it continues at this pace. A coalition cannot be based only on what the prime minister wants," said Marcel Ciolacu on Wednesday evening, at Romania Tv.
