The general secretary of the PSD, Claudiu Manda, accused the president of the PNL, Ilie Bolojan, of lying during the negotiations for forming a government. Manda claims that Bolojan initially promised support for a minority PSD government but later changed his mind, causing confusion and political blockages.
“Mr. Bolojan, you have presented yourself as a serious, rigorous, scrupulous man. In reality, you have proven to be a LIAR. You have even lied to the President of Romania. And the facts speak for themselves,” Manda posted on Facebook.
He emphasized that Romanians want a stable government, and each day of uncertainty affects investments and the country's credibility. Manda criticized Bolojan's frequent changes of position, who requested different conditions depending on the circumstances, and stated that the PSD honors and respects its commitments.
He also highlighted that, despite promises, Bolojan abandoned constructive discussions and proposed a new governmental rotation without having the necessary support. Manda concluded that the PSD remains dedicated to forming a stable government, while the PNL continues to change the conditions and create confusion.
