Designated Prime Minister Luca Niculescu announces that the government program currently being drafted will include measures to increase incomes, with priority given to pensioners with low pensions. He says the package aims to relaunch the economy, protect purchasing power, and support people affected by inflation, price increases, and fiscal-budgetary adjustment.
In a post published on Facebook on Saturday, Niculescu stated that the government he intends to form will seek solutions for pensioners who are feeling the rise in the cost of living most acutely. The measures are expected to accompany efforts to strengthen public finances and reduce the budget deficit.
Regarding pay policy, the designated prime minister announced the resumption of discussions on adopting a new law on the unified pay system. The stated objective is to build a fairer and more predictable system, with an implementation timetable adapted to budgetary possibilities.
Niculescu emphasized that the measures will be established through dialogue with trade unions, employers' associations, and political partners. The program will have to balance protecting Romanians' incomes with the responsibility to maintain the country's financial stability.
