Kelemen Hunor, the president of UDMR, stated that the current increase in taxes and excise duties does not represent reforms, but necessary measures for increasing revenues. He emphasizes the importance of reforms in central and local administration, including the merging of institutions and raising the retirement age in Justice. Hunor believes that these reforms must be urgently adopted by taking responsibility in Parliament, otherwise the economy will stagnate, and the technical recession will continue.
