Kelemen Hunor said he intends to keep the flat tax rate at 10% and the dividend tax at 16%, stressing the importance of these measures to attract investors. He proposes raising VAT from 19% to 21% and broadening the CASS tax base to include more taxpayers. Hunor emphasized the need to cut budgetary privileges and proposed a 4-5 year plan to reduce the deficit without affecting the middle class or economic competitiveness.
