The leader of UDMR, Kelemen Hunor, stated that there is no risk of the governing alliance falling apart, after PSD voted for the AUR motion against Diana Buzoianu, the Minister of Environment from USR. Following the meeting with PSD leader, Sorin Grindeanu, Hunor emphasized that, although the coalition protocol prohibits voting on motions against ministers, there are no sanctions for violating this rule. He considered the incident in the Senate a mistake, but stressed that it does not necessitate the dismissal of the minister.

Hunor mentioned that, in the past, a similar motion was adopted without consequences for the coalition. He also acknowledged that recently the coalition has been dysfunctional, but hopes that tensions will ease and that an agreement will be reached for the budget for 2026 by the end of the year.
