Ilie Bolojan talks about an "attempt to break the PNL" following the appointment of Adrian Veștea as prime minister.

Ilie Bolojan, leader of PNL, reacted on his Facebook page after the announcement from Cotroceni regarding the appointment of Adrian Veștea as prime minister, emphasizing that neither he nor the party leadership were informed about this decision.

"The attempt to impose a prime minister from within a party, without at least having a prior consultation and after all decisions made unanimously by the party's bodies, violates any principle of loyal political collaboration", Bolojan stated.

Bolojan characterized the act as "hostile" and suggested that it is an obvious attempt to fragment PNL, an intention he considers to have been sensed since the fall of the government, perceived as being in the interest of PSD.

In the context of the tensions that arose after the appointment, the liberal leader announced the convening of a meeting of the National Political Bureau of PNL.

"In the immediate future, we will organize a meeting of the BPN of PNL to adopt an official decision" , Ilie Bolojan specified.
