The interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan is said to have "stolen the start" of the consultations with Nicușor Dan scheduled for Tuesday and went to the Cotroceni Palace to discuss with the president of the state before the official meetings, according to sources cited by EuroNews. On the other hand, sources cited by Digi24 say that the leaders of PNL, USR, and UDMR, Ilie Bolojan, Dominic Fritz, and Kelemen Hunor had discussions at the Victoria Palace to establish the strategy for the consultations with Nicușor Dan.
After the government proposed by Adrian Veștea failed to gain approval, Nicușor Dan announced that he will start consultations with the parties, scheduled for 1:00 PM.
Bolojan is said to have already had a meeting with Nicușor Dan and will subsequently have a restricted meeting within the party, after which a National Permanent Bureau of PNL will follow, in which the way forward will be decided.
The PNL delegation that will go to the consultations with Nicușor Dan at 2:00 PM consists of Ilie Bolojan, Dan Motreanu, First Vice President, Robert Sighiartău, Secretary General, Mircea Abrundean, President of the Senate, Gabriel Andronache, leader of the PNL group in the Chamber of Deputies.
After the failure in Parliament, Bolojan reaffirmed that the PNL proposals remain the same, including options for minority governments formed by PNL, USR, and UDMR or around PSD, excluding extremist formations, according to the requirements of President Nicușor Dan.
