The president of PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, announced on Wednesday that he will request the declassification of discussions held with the president and leaders of the parties in the former coalition, emphasizing the importance of transparency for Romanians.

In a press conference, Grindeanu stated that it is essential for citizens to be informed about the commitments made by political leaders in official meetings, compared to public statements.

Although the final decision depends on the Presidential Administration, he expressed openness to this idea. Recently, President Nicușor Dan mentioned that PNL committed to support a minority PSD government, but later changed his position.

The president of PNL, Ilie Bolojan, was accused by social-democratic leaders of lying regarding the support for the PSD government, and Bolojan clarified that the liberals did not promise unconditional support, but a political agreement that would allow for further discussions.
