The AUR MEP Gheorghe Piperea said, in an interview for Digi24.ro, which wing of the PSD does not agree with the progressive doctrine and could be open to collaboration with AUR.

He mentioned names such as Claudiu Manda, Lia Olguța Vasilescu, and Gabriela Firea, emphasizing that they support the principle of economic nationalism. Piperea criticized the PSD leadership, stating that Sorin Grindeanu is in an ambiguous position between the factions in the party.

He also stated that "We are not happy to associate with PSD either," but AUR has become the winner of the current political crisis.

Although those at AUR do not wish for an association with PSD, it remains the only option to change the government. Piperea accused PSD of being the main culprit for the problems in Romania.
