George Simion, the leader of AUR, responded to the PNL's accusations about an alleged deal between PSD and AUR in the elections for the mayor of the commune of Vânători, where the AUR candidate received only eight votes out of over 2,100. Simion emphasized that the current governing coalition, made up of USR and PSD, is responsible for Romania's economic and social problems. He criticized the Bolojan government for the lack of real reforms, especially regarding special pensions, accusing them of postponing decisions to avoid protests. Additionally, Simion denounced the taxation of greenhouses and other goods by PSD, highlighting that this party contributed to the adoption of unpopular measures. In the end, he urged those who suggest a collaboration between AUR and PSD to remember who is in power and to acknowledge the reality of the political situation in Romania.
