Florin Mitroi, the president of the Constanța County Council, announced his resignation, expressing profound disappointment regarding the state of the county and the desire of some to keep it in stagnation. In a press release, he emphasized that he cannot continue to hold a position in which he cannot achieve what he set out to do for the citizens, due to constant limitations and pressures.
Mitroi mentioned that he chose to resign out of respect for the citizens and to maintain his personal dignity. He also highlighted the importance of collective involvement in the development of the county and thanked those who supported him. Mitroi was elected president of the Constanța County Council in 2024 on behalf of PNL and was previously the mayor of the Valu lui Traian commune.
