Florin Jianu, PSD deputy, announced on October 20, 2025, that he is resigning from Parliament and from the party, choosing to focus on supporting entrepreneurs as the president of SMEs Romania. He emphasizes the importance of a strong voice for entrepreneurs, especially in the context of a struggling economy. Jianu mentioned that he will propose economic solutions based on experience and impact studies to help SMEs survive and develop.

In a statement, SMEs Romania confirmed Jianu's election and that of other members in leadership positions, highlighting the organization's role in supporting the business environment. Jianu also criticized the lack of consistency in politicians' statements, referring to recent promises regarding VAT. He stressed the need to be attentive to statements and to act based on real data, in the context of the recent decisions of the Constitutional Court regarding judges' pensions.
