The presidential advisor Eugen Tomac rejected the accusations of extremist leader George Simion, who claimed that Tomac invited AUR deputy Mohammad Murad to negotiations at Vila Lac to discuss the vote for the Veștea government.

Tomac stated that he did not initiate contact with AUR members, but they requested meetings with him to discuss the political situation. He emphasized that he had met with at least five AUR parliamentarians in the last two months, all at their request, as part of the political dialogue.

In contrast, Simion claimed that Tomac and the designated prime minister Adrian Veștea tried to gain AUR's support for the government, suggesting that Murad could split the party.

Tomac reiterated that he has never sought AUR's support in his political activities.
