The designated Prime Minister Eugen Tomac denied rumors that he intended to resign due to an alleged lack of political support. In a Facebook post, Tomac emphasized that he will continue the process of forming the Government, believing that the vote in Parliament will be favorable. He had discussions with political parties to obtain the necessary number of votes, mentioning that he came out optimistic from the meeting with UDMR, although statements from leader Kelemen Hunor suggest that negotiations are still ongoing.

Tomac announced that he will submit to Parliament the list of ministers and the government program by Friday, planning to request the vote next week. He emphasized the importance of unity in the face of current challenges and reiterated his commitment to forming a professional government that will address Romania's economic urgencies and international commitments.
