The Minister of Investments and European Projects, Dragoș Pîslaru, stated that the reform of special pensions must be completed before discussions with the European Commission about the funds from the PNRR can be reopened. He emphasized that delays regarding the pensions of magistrates have led to exceeding the assumed deadlines, which affects Romania's access to 231 million euros.

Pîslaru acknowledged that the deadline of November 28 was missed, and in order to recover the funds, the reform must be fulfilled. He also mentioned that there are no certainties that Romania will be able to attract these funds, but completing the reform is an important commitment for the country's credibility, both in relation to the population and to external partners.
