The president of USR, Dominic Fritz, reacts to the scandal of the appointment at MIPE of Alina Gîrbea: "I am fed up with the misogynistic reflex in politics! In the face of a competent woman, the response is always the same: 'Surely there is a man behind her.' The fact that a woman performs without the support of any man gets on their nerves."
Dominic Fritz reacted vehemently to the attacks made in the press after the appointment of Alina Gîrbea as Secretary of State in the Ministry of Investments and European Projects. Fritz believes that these attacks are "disgusting and misogynistic," emphasizing that Gîrbea, a professional with 15 years of experience in European institutions, has been reduced to the status of "someone" due to a familial relationship with Cătălin Drulă, the USR candidate for the Capital City Mayor. He explained that he proposed Gîrbea for the respective position and that he is proud of her achievements, highlighting that 50% of the secretaries of state appointed by USR are women. Fritz emphasized that the attacks not only affect Alina's career but also Drulă's image, and he promised that he will continue to support competent women in public office.
