Dan Motreanu, the current first vice-president and MEP specializing in agricultural policy, will become the new secretary general of the PNL, according to sources. He decided on Friday to withdraw from the race for the post of first vice-president, where nine candidates were registered. Elections for the four first vice-presidential posts will be held at Saturday's congress, and Ilie Bolojan is the only candidate for the party's presidency.
