In an interview, Dacian Cioloș emphasizes the current Romanian state's inability to reform internally, warning that real change can only come from external pressure. He believes that the business environment is facing frustrations and that public administration reform is essential.

"I believe there was an interference, but it acted very much on an already existing environment that was ignored. A negative environment of distrust and resentment and anger that has accumulated over time and that was ignored or, worse, that was politically exploited, as I told you: 'Sir, let me see how I can channel this anger, this resentment into votes for me!' Well, there were others who were smarter, who knew how to channel it and take it in another direction!" Dacian Cioloș also stated in the interview.
