The UDMR deputy, Csoma Botond, commented on a post on social media, considering it a tasteless chauvinistic joke that reflects the chauvinistic beliefs of the author's father. He emphasized that, although the post will not generate interethnic tensions, politicians should refrain from provocations of this kind. Botond also criticized George Simion's act of cutting a cake shaped like Greenland, decorated with the US flag, deeming it also in poor taste and highlighting that it implicates Romania in a delicate international issue. Although he will not notify the Legal Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, he pointed out the importance of responsibility in the behavior of public figures.
