In a vehement speech, Șoșoacă criticized the European Union and NATO, accusing them of dictatorship, censorship, and economic colonization. She stated that the multipolar model of BRICS is the solution for Romania's economic crisis, arguing that the foreign policies promoted by Ceaușescu should be continued. Although these statements contradict Romanian legislation that prohibits the cult of individuals convicted of crimes against humanity, Șoșoacă insisted that she is the target of an intimidation campaign by the authorities.
