Crin Antonescu: "If Mr. Bolojan is, by nature, a USR supporter, it is not because he was captured, he is willingly and gladly so."

The former president of PNL, Crin Antonescu, stated that the current governing coalition is not functioning and that more prudence was needed in the formation of the Government.

Although he acknowledges the difficulties, Antonescu believes that the Government will endure and that it is unlikely that early elections will be called. He commented on Ilie Bolojan, stating that he is part of USR of his own accord. Antonescu emphasized that USR has strong positions in the Government and that PSD will not want to end the collaboration.

Antonescu concluded that, although he does not completely rule out the scenario of early elections, he does not believe that it will materialize soon.
