The delegations of the parties in the governing coalition meet on Wednesday at Cotroceni for consultations following the withdrawal of PSD's support for Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.

On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Cotroceni Palace, President Nicușor Dan will convene consultations with the delegations of the parties in the governing coalition, in the context of the political crisis generated by the withdrawal of PSD's support for Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. The program starts at 9:00 AM with representatives of PSD, followed by the PNL delegation led by Ilie Bolojan at 10:30 AM. In the second part of the day, UDMR will discuss at 3:00 PM, and the Parliamentary Group of National Minorities at 4:30 PM, concluding with USR at 6:30 PM. The withdrawal of PSD's support was announced on Monday, with the social democrats giving the Prime Minister a deadline of 'two or three days' to resign, otherwise they will submit a motion of no confidence. In response, Bolojan stated that he would not resign, emphasizing that the country's problems cannot be solved by changing just one person.
