Ciprian Ciucu, first vice president of PNL, reacted to the statements of the president of PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, who called interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan a 'political zombie'. Ciucu emphasized that Bolojan enjoys the trust of Romanians, having a significant trust rating, and criticized the lack of decency in Grindeanu's comments.

He argued that those who have had a dignified governance cannot be considered political zombies, stating that Bolojan has a promising political future. Ciucu also brought into discussion the responsibility of PNL in the previous government, highlighting that the party acknowledges its mistakes and is working to rectify the situation. Additionally, he mentioned that the separation from PSD is beneficial for democracy in Romania and criticized the PSD-PNL coalition for allowing the rise of other parties, such as AUR. Ciucu concluded that PNL needs to reform and prepare a new generation of competent politicians.
