Marcel Ciolacu, former Prime Minister of Romania, emphasized that the focus on investments has yielded results, mentioning the continuation of development programs and the abandonment of the idea to cancel the Anghel Saligny project. Ciolacu also noted the positive impact of the billions from the PNRR on the economy, although he mentioned a loss of 7 billion. Additionally, he highlighted Romania's entry into Schengen and the progress of the Moldova Highway as achievements of the current government. However, he criticized the fact that, as of January 9, Romania does not have a budget formula for 2026. He detailed that, in the first 6 months of 2025, out of total investments of 50.4 billion lei, 18.8 billion lei came from European funds, and in the last 6 months, investments increased to 87.1 billion lei, with 58.6 billion lei from European funds.
