Marcel Ciolacu, former leader of the PSD and ex-prime minister, launched a symbolic attack against the current prime minister Ilie Bolojan, using a famous moment from football. In a Facebook post, Ciolacu referred to a Champions League match, Dinamo Kiev - Steaua, in which the Romanians won 4-1, adapting the famous phrase 'Go, Dică!' to the current political context.
His criticisms target the economic policies of the Bolojan Government, which he considers responsible for 'the most abrupt decline in living standards in the last 20 years', according to data from the National Institute of Statistics. Ciolacu emphasized the need to say 'ENOUGH!' and addressed the prime minister with a clear call: 'Go, Ilie! Go...'. This statement comes in a climate of rising political tensions, while Bolojan remains firm in his position, with no intention of resigning.
"Tomorrow, it is time to say ENOUGH!
Enough for Romanians to pay the bill for the economic disaster caused by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan - the most abrupt decline in living standards in the last 20 years, according to INS.
That is why I send Bolojan a famous call in the world of Romanian football (forgive me, Nicolae Dică).
Go, Ilie! Go...'' , wrote Marcel Ciolacu on Facebook.
