Cătălin Predoi will not contest his possible exclusion from PNL

Cătălin Predoiu, Minister of Internal Affairs in the Bolojan cabinet, stated that he will not contest his dismissal from PNL, after the party decided to eliminate members who supported the government led by Adrian Veștea, which failed in the vote.

Predoiu explained that, although PNL opposed a government alongside PSD, he believed that Romania urgently needs a functional government. He emphasized that his vote for the Veștea government was a responsible action, meant to close a period of uncertainty. Predoiu stated that he will not contest his possible exclusion and that he will continue his public activity, encouraging dialogue among colleagues who wish to avoid sanctions.

The president of PNL, Ilie Bolojan, announced that the party will vote for a new government, requesting a political agreement between parties to overcome the current tensions.
