On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, the President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, will host the Bucharest Format 9 (B9) Summit and the Nordic Countries at the Cotroceni Palace. The event will be co-chaired by Nicușor Dan and the President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, with the main theme being "Delivering More for Transatlantic Security."

International leaders will attend the summit, including NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, along with defense ministers and prime ministers from member states.

The agenda includes the official reception of delegations, plenary sessions, a family photo, a working lunch, and joint press statements. The Bucharest Format 9, launched in 2015, focuses on the security of NATO's Eastern Flank, playing an important role in discussions about the implications of the war in Ukraine.
