Ilie Bolojan, interim prime minister, stated that in order to obtain cheaper energy in the future, it is essential to open access to the energy system, to increase production, and to improve energy storage.

He emphasized that the energy generated in photovoltaic parks, especially during the summer, is often wasted because it cannot be stored efficiently for later use when prices are higher. Bolojan mentioned that the blockage of access to energy networks represents a major problem, and investors face difficulties in obtaining technical connection approvals due to complicated procedures.

He accused the system of irresponsibility, stating that speculators have obtained connection approvals that exceed the capacity of the networks, thus hindering the implementation of serious projects.
